Purge welding doesn’t just leave your welds clean on the inside, it makes life easier when you’re learning or your fit-up isn’t perfect. Even just 5L/min of pure argon can make your welds more forgiving, smoother, and stronger from the inside out.

How Do I Purge?
Argon’s heavier than oxygen, so always feed it in from the lowest point of your setup.
Anywhere between 5–10 L/min is plenty for most purge jobs, you don’t need to blast it.
Why Purge?
Purge welding keeps the inside of your weld clean and stops it from sugaring or cracking. If you’re still learning, it’s way more forgiving. It helps hold the weld out, so even with rough fit up or low heat control, your weld won’t keyhole or sink in. It’s cleaner, stronger, and looks better inside and out!
